Welton-by-Lincoln Parish Council is looking to recruit a Facilities Team Lead to supervise and support all activities carried out by our proactive and dedicated team, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the Council’s assets. Responsibilities include leading staff and allocating work to oversee the upkeep of Council owned buildings, parks and facilities such as play area inspections, litter collection, emptying bins, snow clearing, and many other tasks required daily. Liaising with contractors delivering third party services and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements are integral role requirements. Job related training will be available with an expectation of compliance.
Applicants will be expected to have strong practical skills in facilities management, experience in leading staff, and a solid understanding of health and safety compliance.
The successful applicant should have a flexible approach to working days and hours and will include some evenings and weekends and be able to cover for holidays and/or sickness when required. Must have a clean Full Driving License.
The role is for 25 hours per week over 5 days, usually Monday to Friday 8.00am – 1.00pm. Pay will be commensurate with skills and experience.

LITTER OPERATIVE
The Parish Council is seeking to recruit a litter operative, litter picking and emptying litter bins and occasionally dog bins. You will be required to work on your own and outside all year round in all weathers. You will be working 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), doing 2 hours per day from 7.00 – 9.00am to keep the village clean and tidy, at the current rate of £12.21 per hour.
All equipment and protective clothing will be supplied.

The council has one vacant seat to be filled by co-option. This will be carried out at the next ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Monday 14th April 2025 at 7.30pm in the Pavilion, Manor Park Sports Club, Hackthorn Road, Welton, LN2 3PA. Should there be more than one applicant for the vacancy, the appointment will be decided by a vote, or series of votes, in order to obtain a majority decision.
To be considered for co-option, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. Be registered as a local government elector for the Parish on the current Electoral Register.
2. Has during the whole of the previous 12 months occupied as tenant or owner any land or other premises in the Parish.
3. Has had his/her principal or only place of work in the previous 12 months in the parish of Welton.
4. Has resided either in the Parish or within 3 miles thereof during the previous 12 months.
